Overview

Align engaged with the Client to develop a 18no unit scheme of high-quality residential dwellings, preparing planning submission information based on a previous reserved matters approval before progressing the information to form working drawings with assistance through the construction phase. Regular site visits were undertaken to observe the progress, it was great to see the project take shape and view the considered interior designs.

Context

The site is located in the characterful village of Tanworth-in-Arden, a rural village south of Birmingham. This was reflected in the composition of the site layout, offering generous open landscaped spaces and gardens. The material palette of the context was reflected in the proposed development, using brick, render and timber detailing, creating high quality, bespoke dwellings.

Design

The development scheme comprises 2, 3, 4 and 5 bed houses, offering attractive residences to a range of potential occupiers. Each dwelling is designed to be energy efficient, fitted with underfloor heating, has an electric vehicle charging point and air source heat pumps. The homes are externally striking and internally considered, finished to a high standard.
